As the director and cinematographer of this project, I aimed to capture the essence of love intertwined with Latin-American culture. The story is a simple, heartfelt love tale, and to convey this, I employed various steadicam shots to seamlessly capture the salsa dancing sequences.
The lighting design embraced a warm color palette, enriching the scenes with a romantic ambiance. One of our creative choices was to use rim lights and spotlights to showcase Yiyo's point of view as he falls deeply in love with Celia. This visual approach not only highlights the emotional connection between the characters but also immerses the audience in the passion and vibrancy of Latin-American culture.
